Matt graduated from McNally Smith College of Music in 2003, with an A.A.S. degree in Recording Technology. He has recorded numerous bands including: Someday Sunday, Pre-mature Moose, Unsung Heroes, Daniel Derifield, and others.

Matt was also a songwriter and guitarist for the band Someday Sunday.
